“Mornings with Eric and Brigitte”

Listeners of Moody Radio South Florida are waking up to a new voice. Brigitte Sylvestre has joined Eric Johnson as co-host for Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, which airs weekdays, from 6 to 9 a.m. ET.

“The WRMB team is excited to have Brigitte Sylvestre as co-host of the morning show,” said Doloros King-St. George, station manager for Moody Radio South Florida. Sylvestre will also serve as the show’s producer. “Brigitte brings a fresh outlook on the issues of the day with a solid foundation in the Word of God. She has a deep longing to lead others to Christ, and help listeners center all things on our Savior, Jesus. Her interactions with listeners and her on-air partner, Eric Johnson, are fun and encouraging and listeners are delighted.”

Mornings with Eric and Brigitte helps listeners start their day with spiritual encouragement, fresh conversation on current topics, and Christ-centered music—plus the latest news, weather and traffic. Eric and Brigitte began co-hosting together last month. Past programs are available on the morning show’s website.

“I am blessed and excited to start each day with our listening friends on the morning show with a mix of fun and meaningful conversation that points us to the goodness of God,” said Sylvestre. “What a joy and privilege to join a seasoned radio host like Eric to discuss the issues of the day from a biblical perspective. We also strive to be real about the ups and downs of life in a way the reminds us that we are all in process, but that encourages us to take that next step towards a closer relationship with Christ.”

While Sylvestre has called South Florida home for nearly her whole life, she is originally from New Jersey. She studied broadcast journalism at Palm Beach Atlantic University and has worked in TV news. After joining WRMB as operations assistant in 2007, she was promoted to news and community relations director where she fostered relationships with like-minded ministries in the area.

She and her husband, Gibson, have been married since 2007. Together, they have served on short term mission trips in more than 10 countries. Sylvestre is also a volunteer for a ministry that serves women in Africa, Asia and the Middle East by providing training in trauma healing, micro-enterprise, health, leadership and spiritual development, as well as trains them to in turn train other women in their own communities.

Co-host Eric Johnson is a veteran in morning radio, having served on air for more than 25 years, eight of those at Moody Radio in South Florida. “I could not be more excited about the knowledge, wisdom and God-honoring presence that Brigitte brings to the morning,” said Johnson. “I have already been greatly blessed from having her join me, and I know our listening friends are feeling the same thing.”
