As COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019) continues to spread in the US and around the world, please review the information provided below, especially if you are planning to travel internationally during Spring Break or as part of a Study Abroad program.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a Level 3 (Avoid Nonessential Travel) travel alert for China, Iran, Italy, and South Korea. Japan is at Level 2 (Practice Enhanced Precautions) as that country sees sustained community transmission of COVID-19; and Hong Kong is at Level 1 (Practice Usual Precautions).

Please note that these alert conditions are fluid and new countries can be added to this list at any time. If you are traveling or plan to travel abroad, be aware that there is a potential you may not be able to return to the U.S. due to possible quarantines. Before you travel, refer to the CDC, and Department of State travel advisory websites to check for the latest COVID-19 Information for guidance.

In addition, the CDC and the Chicago Department of Public Health advise that travelers returning from any country with a CDC Travel Warning Level 3 (Avoid Nonessential Travel) should stay home and monitor their health for up to 14 days. For Moody students, faculty and staff, absences for this purpose would be excused and alternate arrangements will be made for teleworking and online school assignments, if possible. If you begin to experience symptoms including a fever, cough, and difficulty breathing, please call your healthcare provider as soon as possible.

For those in Chicago, the Chicago Department of Public Health has stated that the health risk to the general public in the Chicagoland area continues to remain low for COVID-19. You can learn more on their website.

Prayers of safety and good health for all!

Currently, Moody has approximately 600 full-time employees, and equally as many part-time staff, partnering together to serve Jesus Christ on our main campus in Chicago and at several locations across the United States. Our goal is to attract, retain, and develop people who will fulfill Moody's mission and live out its values.

Consistently, the strongest motivations for people to apply at Moody are: the desire for work with eternal value; and because our view of Scripture (see Moody's Doctrinal Statement) falls in line with their own personal beliefs.
