From May 21 to 24, Moody Bible Institute will host a week of Bible teaching from today’s foremost Christian leaders and teachers, geared toward equipping pastors and Christian leaders. Speakers include Alistair Begg, Charlie Dates, Joseph Stowell, Skye Jethani, and H. B. Charles.
Pastor’s Conference will have dozens of workshops highlighting innovative ministry strategies and a variety of topics, including urban ministry, self-care, youth ministry, women’s ministry leaders, and church management.
“As with every Pastor’s Conference, our desire is to refresh and equip as many church leaders as possible through challenging Bible teaching, informational and hands-on workshops, and fellowship with other ministry leaders,” said Greg Thornton, interim president and senior vice president of media. “This has been a cherished time for many over the years, and we are praying that the Lord uses this time to advance His Kingdom through all who attend and return renewed to their place of service.”
New for this year’s Pastor’s Conference is couples’ housing and single day passes. There is also an early registration discount for those who register before April 1, 2018.
Some of the workshops being offered include Communicating God’s Word, Church Management, Evangelism and Discipleship, Women’s Ministry Leaders, Urban Ministry, and many more.
“Throughout history, God has prompted pastors and teachers to come together to deepen their fellowship in the gospel and to encourage one another in faithfulness to it,” said Alistair Begg, pastor and Moody Publishers author. Begg is heard across Moody Radio’s network of radio stations. “The Moody Pastors’ Conference provides another opportunity to achieve those objectives. It is a privilege to be part of it, and I look forward to seeing everyone there.”
There will also be an entire track in Spanish, and main sessions will be translated in Spanish. “Our desire is to strengthen and equip pastors from diverse, Spanish-speaking congregations and ministries so that they can go back and minister to those who have a thirst for the Word of God,” added Thornton.
