Jannelle Nevels joins Moody Radio Cleveland as new co-host of the morning show

Moody Radio Cleveland’s morning show has a new voice, with the announcement that Jannelle Nevels will be joining Brian Dahlen. Brian and Jannelle Mornings airs every weekday from 6 to 9 a.m. ET on Moody Radio Cleveland.

Brian and Jannelle Mornings is a Christ-centered show packed with biblical insight and practical advice.

Previous co-host, Kathleen Zion, will be transitioning to a part-time position with the station in order to pursue her passion for teaching performing arts.

“I have loved working mornings for nearly three years and I am excited to see what the Lord has planned,” said Zion. “Working part-time provides me the opportunity to teach young performers the musical arts.”

Brian and Jannelle hosted their first show together on Friday, May, 25, sharing thought-provoking expert interviews, cultural commentary and candid conversations with callers.

“I am humbled to be a part of what God has in store in this new season of ministry as He continues His work through Moody Radio Cleveland,” said Nevels. “I am excited to passionately share with the listeners a fresh perspective as a Latino and homeschool mom. It will be fun to connect with the people of Ohio every morning as together we seek God's heart on how to be agents of change in our respective circles of influence.”

Jannelle is a native of the Dominican Republic and is from Providence, Rhode Island. She attended Oberlin College and Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, where she earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Before working on the morning show she was a contributor to Pause for Prayer on WCRF and provided a monthly parenting segment on the station.

While in college Jannelle met her husband, Len, and have been married since 1999. In addition to homeschooling their six children, Jannelle manages the family's real estate business, enjoys serving at her church, and writes a blog.

“Jannelle is a familiar friend in the neighborhood of voices that we’ve developed with the morning show,” said Scott Krus, station manager. “We’re anxious to learn from her perspective and watch her strengthen the relationship with listeners that she’s been cultivating for years as a frequent contributor.”

Co-host Brian Dahlen taught history at a public high school near Minneapolis, where he was co-host and producer of a weekly radio program. After teaching six years and graduating with a master’s degree in education, Brian joined Moody Radio in Chicago. Brian lives with his wife and five children in Broadview Heights, Ohio.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to begin a new season of radio ministry with Jannelle Nevels,” said Dahlen. “She brings an impressive amount of wisdom, passion and experience to the team. I can’t wait to partner with her in bringing listeners closer to Jesus, and to discover what the Lord is going to teach me through her contributions to the show.”
