Tours
To gain a perspective on our historic past and to capture a vision for how our current ministries are taking the truth of God's Word across the globe, cultures and generations, consider touring our campus.
Regular Campus Tours
Tours are offered Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, from 10:00a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Beginning in the D.L. Moody Museum, located on the first floor of Smith Hall, guests will view an eight-minute historical video on the life of Moody's founder, Dwight Lyman Moody. The video is followed by a 45 minute walking tour of the campus. Stops on the tour include:
- Smith Hall, one of the oldest buildings remaining on campus
- Torrey-Gray Auditorium, named after two early Moody presidents, James Gray and R. A. Torrey, which seats more than 1,800 people and is where students attend chapel
- The Sweeting Center, named in honor of Moody's sixth president, Dr. George Sweeting, the primary building for classrooms and faculty offices
- Chapman Center, current home to Moody Publishers and Moody Radio Chicago—WMBI, the first non-commercial radio station in the United States, as well as the interactive Dr. Gary Chapman Five Love Languages exhibit.
Due to special events on campus, historical tours may be rescheduled or postponed for the day. We encourage all tour guests to register ahead of time to ensure the historial tour is running according to schedule on the date they wish to visit.
